The church held their annual Father/Daughter dance last night, and we decided that Bailey was now old enough to go on a date with daddy and actually understand what was going on. Bailey found out a few weeks ago that she was going on a date with daddy when Stephy was looking through dresses at her house to find one for Bailey. Bailey saw the big, pink, shiny one and her mind was made up that it was hers and she was wearing it to the "father dance" with her daddy! She told everyone about it, and she has looked at it hanging in her closet for weeks now in anticipation for the moment we would let her put it on. She has told me numerous times that mommy and Banks are not allowed to go to the dance...only Bailey and daddy can go. Needless to say, this girl has been very excited for a long time about her night out with Ross, and it has been so sweet to watch how much it means to her to get to spend some one on one time with daddy!
So the big moment arrived, and I got Bailey ready while Ross got ready. She came out twirling in her dress saying how pretty it was. She looked so adorable!!! Ross surprised her with some flowers (he surprised me with some too...what a great man), and Bailey was thrilled! They went to the dance and had a great time! Bailey came home beaming with joy and telling me all about it! Hopefully this will be a tradition they can keep together!
